How to visit Oman on your Gulf residence permit

For Egyptian, Indian or Jordanian passport holders living in the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar or Saudi Arabia. Every step comes from an official government page, linked with it.

    Check you qualify

    • Egypt, India and Jordan are on Oman's 'second group' list. As a second-group national, you can enter Oman without a visa for up to 14 days if the profession on your Gulf residence permit is one of the professions that qualify for Oman's own resident-visa list.

    Documents to have ready

    • Your passport must be valid for at least six months.
    • Have a return or onward flight ticket booked before you arrive.
    • Have a confirmed hotel reservation for the whole stay.
    • Carry enough money to cover your living costs for the whole stay.
    • You need health insurance covering your trip — it's one of the stated conditions for this 14-day, visa-free facility.

    At the border

    • The 14 days cannot be extended or converted into any kind of residence visa, so plan your trip to fit within that window.
